Walker left unprotected for expansion draft
November 16, 2004

According to BigAppleSoccer.com and now confirmed by the MetroStars, the Metros have left starting goalkeeper Jonny Walker unprotected for Friday's Expansion Draft. The official list will come out on Wednesday. After Nick Sakiewicz's senseless bashing of Walker, it was expected that he would not remain a Metro for long. What was a surprising is that Jonny was left exposed, especially since the Metros and Chivas were supposedly discussing a trade.

Also left unprotected were the Metros' backup goalie, Zach Wells, plus Joselito Vaca, Pablo Brenes, Tim Regan, Craig Ziadie, and, of course, Sergio Galvan Rey.
